Wallsend Community Health Service, Nash Street, Wallsend


In was announced in September 2018 that land on the Wallsend Community Health Service site has been identified as the preferred location for the new Birmingham Gardens ambulance station.
 
The new site will enable local NSW Ambulance paramedics to better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in the local area.
 
The new station on the Wallsend Community Health Service site on Nash Street will feature facilities that are a major improvement on the current ageing station on Wilkinson Avenue in Birmingham Gardens.
 
Once completed, the Birmingham Gardens NSW Ambulance station will include:

  • Internal parking for up to six emergency ambulance vehicles
  • Administration and office areas
  • Staff amenities
  • Multipurpose meeting training room
  • Logistics and storage areas
  • External wash bay
  • Deliveries and loading bay
  • Staff parking
