Construction complete on NSW Ambulance Station at Molong
Construction complete on NSW Ambulance Station at Molong
SHARE
Construction on the new NSW Ambulance Station at Molong has been completed.
This is a significant milestone in the NSW Government’s election commitment to build a new station at Molong as part of the $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
NSW Ambulance will now begin a carefully planned fit out and commissioning process of the station.
The commissioning process will be conducted before a staged roll-out of services which will ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality emergency care during the transition.
Designed with input from local paramedics, the station will enable NSW Ambulance to better meet the mobile emergency care needs of Molong and surrounds for years to come.
The NSW Government is investing in purpose-built and modern NSW Ambulance stations to help support the clinical capability of our highly trained paramedics.
The station is scheduled to become fully operational late 2018.
The RAIR program currently includes 23 locations across the state that will benefit from an upgraded, rebuilt or entirely new ambulance station including completed stations at Wagga Wagga, Coolamon, Ardlethan and Harden.
The RAIR program represents the biggest regional and rural transformation of NSW Ambulance infrastructure in the organisation’s history.
