New Ambulance Station for JindabynE

The NSW Government has today confirmed that Jindabyne will be home to a brand new ambulance station, as part of the $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration Program.

A new purpose-built station will replace the existing station at Thredbo Terrace enhancing emergency healthcare for the Jindabyne community.

The NSW Government is committed to investing in rural and regional health infrastructure to support better health outcomes for local communities, like Jindabyne.

We are currently exploring an opportunity to locate the ambulance station in a new subdivision on Kosciuszko Road to the west of the Snowy Mountains Grammar School.

Discussions with the school are continuing and the exact location for the station will be confirmed once further planning and consultation with key stakeholders has been carried out.

The new Jindabyne station will feature six internal parking bays, including a wash bay, administration and office areas, staff amenities to assist with staff rest and wellbeing, staff parking, as well as logistics and storage areas.

The new station will make a huge difference for the local community.

The Snowy Mountains is a growing area that sees the population increase significantly through the winter, so the new station will drastically improve the working environment for our paramedics.

The new station will be a modern, fit for purpose facility and will deliver first-class emergency care for the region, including when the emergency response capability is enhanced to support the snowfield operations.

The construction timeline will be confirmed once a site has been finalised.

The NSW Government is continuing to invest in NSW Ambulance. In total, more than $1 billion is being invested across three major NSW Ambulance infrastructure programs, with more than 100 projects announced since 2014.
