Today, an artist’s impression was unveiled and first sod turned for the new Molong NSW Ambulance Station, part of the $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
Construction of the new NSW Ambulance station is expected to be completed in late 2018. It includes an internal wash bay, administration office, a logistics and storage area and parking bays for up to three emergency ambulance vehicles to meet projected patient demand.
NSW Ambulance Deputy Director Operations Western Sector, John Stonestreet, welcomed the latest milestone in the delivery of the station.
“Designed with input from local paramedics, the new station will greatly enhance their ability to deliver high-quality mobile emergency medical care to patients in the community for decades to come," Chief Superintendent Stonestreet said.
