Construction complete on NSW Ambulance Station at Hamlyn Terrace
Construction complete on NSW Ambulance Station at Hamlyn Terrace
SHARE
February 2, 2019
Construction on the new NSW Ambulance station located at the Wyong Hospital Campus at 90 Louisiana Road at Hamlyn Terrace has been completed.
This is a significant milestone in the NSW Government’s election commitment to build a new station in the local area as part of the $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
The new NSW Ambulance Station includes:
Internal parking for up to 13 emergency ambulance vehicles
Administration and office areas
Staff amenities
Logistics and storage areas
Training / meeting room
Internal wash bay
Staff parking
Health Infrastructure and NSW Ambulance will now begin the carefully planned internal works and fit out and then operational commissioning of the station.
Designed with input from local paramedics, the station will enable NSW Ambulance to better meet the mobile emergency care needs of the local area for years to come.
The NSW Government is investing in purpose-built and modern NSW Ambulance stations to help support the clinical capability of our highly trained paramedics.
The station is scheduled to become fully operational by mid-2019.
The RAIR program currently includes 23 locations across the state that will benefit from an upgraded, rebuilt or entirely new ambulance station including completed stations at Wagga Wagga, Coolamon, Ardlethan, Harden, Molong, Griffith, Kiama, Berry, Bay & Basin and Wauchope.
The RAIR program represents the biggest regional and rural transformation of NSW Ambulance infrastructure in the organisation’s history.
