Two Ambulance Stations at Grenfell and Cowra were officially opened in March 2021.

Both stations were delivered under the NSW Government's $132 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) Stage 1 program.

Designed with input from local paramedics, the stations will enable NSW Ambulance to meet the mobile emergency care needs of Grenfell and Cowra for years to come.

The new purpose-built stations include
  • internal parking for emergency ambulance vehicles
  • administration and office areas
  • amenities
  • logistics and storage areas
  • relief accommodation
  • staff parking.
Since 2018 six new Ambulance Stations have been built across the Cootamundra electorate at Grenfell, Cootamundra, Cowra, Ardlethan, Harden and Coolamon, with upgrades to the Temora, Narrandera and Young Ambulance Stations also funded, with a total of 24 stations across the state to be either built as new or refurbished.
