The new purpose-built Medowie ambulance station, delivered under the NSW Government’s $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program location has been announced as 30 Ferodale Road.

The new station will provide local paramedics with enhanced facilities and access to the latest resources to best serve the emergency medical care needs of the community.

NSW Ambulance and Health Infrastructure worked to identify the new location for the station using best practice demand modelling software which maps Triple Zero calls and determined Ferodale Road as the most suitable site now and into the future.

The purpose-built station will feature internal parking for up to six emergency ambulance vehicles, relief accommodation for paramedics, administration and office areas, logistics and storage areas, an internal wash bay and staff parking.

The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s 126-year history, with 24 new or upgraded ambulance stations already delivered or under construction as part of the $132 million Stage 1.

Following on from the success of Stage 1, an additional $100 million worth of ambulance assets are being delivered under Stage 2 of the program, including Medowie.

Construction of the new Medowie Ambulance Station will be complete in 2022.
