The Northern Rivers will benefit from a new ambulance station at Casino under Stage 2 of the NSW Government’s $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.

Following on from the success of Stage 1 of the program, the NSW Government has announced an additional $100 million to deliver upgraded, rebuilt or entirely new NSW Ambulance stations in rural and regional NSW as part of Stage 2 of the program.

The new purpose-built station will feature internal parking for up to six emergency ambulance vehicles; administration and office areas; relief accommodation; logistics and storage areas; internal wash bay; and staff parking.

The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s 125-year history, with 24 new or upgraded ambulance stations already delivered or under construction as part of Stage 1 with another $100 million worth of ambulance assets being delivered under Stage 2.
