TUMUT AMBULANCE STATION

A significant day for the Snowy Valley community, with construction completed on the new Tumut Ambulance Station.
 
The completion of the new ambulance station will greatly enhance health care services for the local community
 
The purpose-built and expanded ambulance station, located on the Tumut Hospital site will provide local paramedics with a contemporary working environment and the latest equipment, ensuring they can continue to deliver high-quality emergency care to the Tumut community.
 
The new station includes internal parking for up to six emergency ambulance vehicles, staff rest facilities, administration and office areas, logistics and storage areas, an external wash bay and staff parking.
 
With construction for the new station now complete, NSW Ambulance is undertaking operational commissioning activities, which includes testing systems and adding the finishing touches to the internal fit-out, ahead of the station becoming operational in coming weeks.

Tumut Ambulance station is part of the NSW Government’s $232 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program with 54 new or upgraded stations being delivered, and 40 already completed.
